This book is currentky out of print but houses my anti-zombie zombie comedy Mr. Friedenhandler.

Here is where Facebook doesn't work

When Scarlett River ceased to be the notification was placed on Facebook in August. In August where it never made my news feed and where I never received an email.

I have been writing the publisher since October to no avail and now, dear readers, as you can see the post I was only recently notified.

On August 12th we were relieved of our contracts. However today I am told those contracts were assigned to another publishing house. I wasn't given a name and I was told this morning someone would be getting back to me.

This is going to be interesting and worthy perhaps of a better tale for writers than the one I penned.

Scarlett River Press is Dead. BAD LUCK needs a new home.

I am sorry to see this publisher go. I appeared in an anthology of theirs last year and have waited for BAD LUCK to appear in this years anthology titled 'Tortured Souls Vol. 2'.

Now the story that has sat idle for eight months needs a home.

God I hate the business end of this.

I just signed my contract for this anthology from Scarlett River Press. 'Tortured Souls Volume 2' is scheduled to be on Kindle and on shelves in September. More to follow.

BAD LUCK to be in Anthology!!!!

I just found out minutes ago that BAD LUCK a short story about a shadow man and the havoc he wreaks will be included in Scarlett River Press' Anthology titled TORTURED SOULS Vol. 2. More news to follow and yes I am very excited about this story as I based it on a waking nightmare I had as a child. The curious part of this waking nightmare is that I had the same nightmare on the same date for three years running. Thank you Jo Anne Russell and Scarlett River Press.

SCARLETT RIVER PRESS has just published the horror anthology RIGOROUS MORTIS: A MORTICIAN'S TALES. At last!!! My story "Mr. Friedenhandler" is Chapter 18. A longtime coming and I thank Jo-Anne Russell and Allen Jacoby so very much for including me in this marvelous collection of horror and terror. It is available on Amazon.com, Smashworlds and Create Space in both paperback and e-formats.

Mr. Friedenhandler may not be dead (again) yet.....

Heard from Scarlett River Press and there may be some hope for the Anthology "Mortician's Tales". Keep your fingers crossed.

Alas Poor Mr. Friedenhandler...He Was Looking So Well

So it appears the long awaited horror anthology: RIGOROUS MORTIS: A MORTICIANS TALES is finally dead and embalmed and lying in an unmarked grave. I last communicated with Scarlett River Press on December 3rd and Jo-Anne Russell cited an office move and other issues continuing to donate to the delay. The volume was due in the fall and today Scarlett River Press cannot be accessed on the web. I wish Ms. Russell the best. I am disappointed this project collapsed, but we move ahead and I am confidant Mr. Friedenhandler will get his due. What else can I do? Get angry? This is business not spite; everyone is hurting and Honey Boo Boo and the Khardashians continue to define our culture. Yep, we have bigger problems than a failed anthology.
